Elaina Poulos is currently a junior at Fordham University. She is a history major and is on the pre-law track. She is a proud second generation Greek American and has been a member of the I.H.S. Global board since November 2022 when she was recruited to be the social media manager. In February 2023, she was promoted to help manage the I.H.S. Global Alumni account. Elaina is very passionate about finding ways to keep Greek culture alive in America. Her efforts were recognized last year when she received the Citation of Merit Youth Award from Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson for her contributions and active participation in the Greek American community of New York. Elaina has also participated in the Miss Greek Independence competition in 2020 and represented her town in Greece, Nafpaktos.
In addition, Elaina has a passion for singing in Greek. She has sung at various Greek restaurants in New York such as Dionysos in Astoria. Elaina was even on Greeceās Got Talent 2022 and represented Greek America. Furthermore, Elaina is so dedicated to her Greek heritage that she takes three hours of Greek language lessons and as well as four hours of Greek voice lessons per week. Elaina would love to use her creativity, as well as her experience in the Greek night-life, to create fun, exciting events that everyone can enjoy. Elaina has become a familiar face in the Greek American community of New York and would be able to use her own social media to promote I.H.S. Global amongst young Greek Americans. Elaina is confident, honest, and ambitious and would love to have the honor of being chosen as the President of I.H.S. Global. She is also cooperative and will listen to direction and guidance from those on the executive board.
